The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) written examination will be held from 22nd February, 2011 to 29th March, 2011 while the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) written exam will be conducted from 1st March, 2011 to 25th March, 2011. MSBSHSE, the examination of English literature, the newly added subject, in HSC will be held for the first time.

Viravagu Utsavam is a festival associated with 14 naattu Sengunthar in the holy town of Tiruchendur and other abodes of Lord Muruga.
