Reema lamba changes name to malika sherawat because ,"Mallika", meaning "empress" to avoid confusion with other actresses named Reema. "Sherawat" is her mother's maiden name.

Mallika worked as an airhostess for some time, at this time she marriage with Jet Airways pilot Captain Karan Singh Gill in Delhi Malli.
