The Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI)is a national governing body for all cricket in India. It's not the apex governing body in India. The board was formed in December 1928 as BCCI replaced Calcutta Cricket Club.

As a member of the International Cricket Council (ICC), it has the authority to select players, umpires and officials to participate in international events and exercises total control over them.

The BCCI has 27 state association members across five zones (viz. North Zone, South Zone, East Zone, West Zone and Central Zone) in India.

Indian cricket board has relaunched the site and now broadcasts live matches for free in India. BCCI has entered an agreement with Tata Consultancy Services for this. There will be a 5-minute delay in the live action. The site also offers live scorecard and commentary of international matches.
