Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) is a technology-focus university situated in the state of Karnataka,India. VTU has been established by Government of Karnataka on 1 April 1998 with its head quarter at Belgaum.
VTU is one of the biggest technological universities in India, having 175 colleges affiliated to it (91 under Bangalore Region, 46 under Mysore region, 25 under Belgaum region and 13 under Gulbarga region). With undergraduate courses in 27 disciplines (BE/B.Tech/B.Arch) post-graduate programs in 85 disciplines (M.Tech) and courses like MBA, MCA, MSc(Engg) by research and Ph.D programmes .
