Karnataka is one of the Southern States of India has 4.33 Million ha of recorded forest area which is around 22.61 percent of its geographical area. Karnataka is endowed with most magnificent forests in the county ranging from majestic evergreen forests of the Western Ghats to the scrub jungles of the plains.
Karnataka Forest Department was established on 11.1.1864.
Karnataka Forest Department invites the application for the Recruitment of Forester & Forest Guards.
1. Foresters
No. of Vacancies: 218 posts
Qualification: Pass in PUC (Science) or 12th Standard and must have studied two or more of the following optional subjects in PUC or 12th Standard : Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology.
2. Forest Guards
No. of Vacancies: 863 posts
Qualifications: Pass in SSLC or 10th Standard. Details of age limit, reservation of the Posts, selection procedure, various tests like Physical Standard, Physical Endurance.
