The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST)is India's national institute for the study and development of space science, located at Thiruvananthapuram.

It was inaugurated on 14 September 2007 by Dr. G. Madhavan Nair, the then Chairman ISRO.

The ISAT or IIST is a entrance test exams were held on 16th april 2010 at more than 30 city centres across India.
