Reliance Launched Big TV Dth Service.

Reliance Launched Big TV Dth Service in June and will provide 250 TV channels and 16 on demand movies at an attractive price. Reliance Communications already appointed channel partners and distributors for its DTH service. Big TV is now on testing stage in Mumbai and is providing 160 TV channels and 10 FM channels on advanced MPEG-4 technology. MPEG-4 is a much advanced transmission compression technology through which TV channels will be available with better sound and picture quality.

3}Max Pack.

Price of Big TV set top box: Rs 1,000- 1,200.

Subscription package: Rs 200- 300.

* Big TV are providing MPEG-4 quality channels

* Big TV will provide lowest tariff offers due to better utilisation of its Telecom network.

* Big TV will provide 200 TV channels in the initial stage and will expand to 300 channels. It has 12 satellite transponders.

* Reliance Big TV set top boxes will have Digital Video Recording facility.
